A huge thank you must be said to the School Association for organising our

KS2 Italian Night

on Thursday.

SANY0489.JPGThe children were asked to book a table for a particular time and were given a reservation.  They were met at the door by the head waiter (who had the most dodgy looking moustache we have ever seen!!)

The children were shown to their table (in the much transformed hall) by their waiters (parents and ex pupils) who all volunteered their time to help out.

SANY0439.JPGThe hall was decorated with Italian flags, banners, balloons and twinkle lights and the mood was enhanced by the pianist playing classics all evening.

SANY0485.JPGDrinks were supplied via the exotic cocktail fountain and nibbles were ‘nibbled’ whlist awaiting the garlic bread starter which was followed by a choice of pizza or spaghetti bolognaise (or half & half)!!  Dessert was a delicious moist chocolate cake accompanied by creamy vanilla ice cream, followed by after dinner mint chocolates.SANY0445.JPG

The event was an excellent opportunity for the children in KS2 to meet socially and enjoy a meal together.
