On Wednesday 22nd June Year 5 and 6 were challenged to take part in a NATWEST ENTERPRISE DAY. The children had to set up a business to cater for a special occasion for 100 people. In groups the children took on different roles including a project manager, marketing executives, catering consultants and a finance manager.
Firstly, the children had to create a company name and logo. They had to design business cards and a poster to advertise their company. They also created a menu, table decorations and entertainment within a fixed budget of £1800. Finally, they had to deliver a presentation outlining their company and how they would make a profit.
The winning company showed excellent enterpreneurial skills including team work, communication and creativity!
