The boys and girls in Reception are loving our topic about Minibeasts. We have shared the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and What the Ladybird Heard and taken part in lots of fun activities to follow them up.

Last Thursday, we went into our school conservation area to look for minibeasts. We took magnifying pots and magnifying glasses, put on our coats and wellies and set off.

We found woodlice, slugs and beetles and, when we went through to the pond area, we spotted a large frog hiding under a rock! We remembered to use our quiet nature detective voices and returned all the creatures we collected back to where we found them.

We had such a good time that we are going into the woods behind school to see what else we can find. DSC02209 DSC02210 DSC02211 DSC02212 DSC02214 DSC02216 DSC02217 DSC02220 DSC02221 DSC02222 DSC02223 DSC02224 DSC02225 DSC02226
