Year 2 had a fantastic day at the Baltic and Discovery Museum. In the morning we worked with an artist learning different painting techniques and the children produced beautiful paintings of the River Tyne.

We sat outside and ate our lunch in the sunshine while we watched the Millennium Bridge open and close – the children even sang ‘happy birthday’ to man operating the bridge!

We spent the afternoon at the Discovery Museum leaning about the bridges across the Tyne both past and present and the children built their own bridges.
