Year 6 have been young entrepreneurs over the past two weeks and have designed and made products to sell for a target audience of primary school children. This involved market research, questioning children as to what products they would like to buy, working out the cost to make this product, sourcing where to buy the materials to make the products then ordering them online.
They then decided upon prices for each product – cheap enough for children to purchase but ensuring a profit would be made once the initial outlay was taken off. They created posters for their products, led an assembly for the whole school and publicised each product during playtimes.
After outgoing costs the children were delighted to announce that they had made £350 which will be put towards new playground equipment for everyone to use.
Well done Year 6 and watch out Alan Sugar!!!
