September 2018

Dear Parents and Carers,

This term, Year 5 are studying World War II. In order to support their learning, I have organised a trip to Eden Camp, North Yorkshire. This trip has proved to provide children with a great knowledge base to use during their work this term.

The trip will cost £16.60. I appreciate the price of this trip is higher than other visits; this is due to the coach price based upon the miles it has to travel. For this price, the coach also has a toilet on board which is a necessity for a journey of almost 2 hours.

The coach will leave Clover Hill Primary at 8am (children should arrive for 7.50am) on Friday 12th October and return to school at approximately 6pm.

The children will need to wear sensible footwear, a waterproof coat and something warm (depending on the weather). The children will need to bring a packed lunch, a water bottle and snacks as it will be a long day.  In addition, the children can bring a pack of cards or a book to occupy them during the long journey.

If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
