As well as today being Red Nose Day and Fresh Air Friday, it was also the end of Science Week at Clover Hill so Reception have been investigating magnets. We explored the magnets in Professor Earl’s Science Lab and learned the words ‘attract’ and ‘repel’ as we investigated which objects stuck to our magnets. We then took our magnets outside and discovered that lots of our equipment in the outdoor classroom is also magnetic.
After lunch, we also used lemonade and a clear beaker to make raisins dance. We got so excited when the bubbles stuck to the raisins and lifted them to the top of the liquid that Mrs Easton came to find out what all the noise was about!
Well done, Reception Professors; some great Science skills used today!
