Today was a fantastic day of learning at the Nissan car plant in Sunderland. We designed own car and made it. This would normally take 2 years to complete.

We then formed a production line. We were each given parts to make a Nissan car and instructions on how to make it. Once we had made one version of the car, we had to use Kaizan ( continuous improvement in Japanese) to make our production line better. This made the process much quicker.

After our production line, we visited the training school’ s production line. We saw what an electric battery looked like. We also met Woody the Robot.

Finally, we got to use the tools which are used on the production line.
