North East born ADAM BUSHNELL is an author and storyteller working in the UK and internationally who often finds himself in a different place every day talking to people about writing, helping them with their own writing and inspiring a love of reading.

On Thursday 19th September, Adam will be spending the day with the staff and children exploring creative writing.  He will be holding an after school session (3.30 – 4.30pm) for parents to attend along with your

child to share with you his top tips for supporting our children to become successful readers and writers.

For Adam, reading is one of the most important things in the world. It teaches us about our past and can help shape our future. It allows us to climb inside the minds of others and to understand why people do the things that they do. It teaches us to relate to others.

Adam loves writing just as much because it helps him to express himself in a creative way. But his most favourite thing about what he does is seeing others want to read or write. That is why he decided to spend most of his time in schools, in museums, in libraries – telling stories and igniting writing.

Hopefully, you can make his after school session and you can have fun writing together.

Please reply below to reserve your spot at the workshop by Wednesday 11th September.  Places are limited so will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.  Don’t miss out!  Younger siblings are welcome to stay also.
