Secrets of Success at Clover Hill Primary School

We are working hard to ensure our children have the optimum behaviour and attitude to their learning. We want them to be highly motivated and engaged, to have high expectations of themselves and are ambitious to want to achieve success.

We want to remove any barriers to their learning and develop their brain power. Learning brains make smarter decisions and happier societies!

Try new things

We are brave in our learning, we are excited to try new things because if we never try, then we will never know.

Work hard

We know that it’s not luck or looks that make us successful, its all about the effort.

We aim to focus, tune out distractions and be mindful.

Push yourself

We fight our fears and learn to push past doubts.

We use imagination, push boundaries and are resourceful.

We learn from our mistakes and see that finding things tricky is all part of being a learner.

Understand others

We listen to learn about others.

Don't give up

Sir Winston Churchill said ‘Success isn’t final, failure isn’t fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts.’

Well Done Everyone!

In December 2016 the Telegraph and the Evening Chronicle published information about Primary schools in England. I am thrilled to announce that in the Telegraph’s Top 1000 schools nationally, Clover Hill was placed 94th and in the Evening Chronicle we were 6th in a league table out of ALL North East schools. To be recognised in such a public way for the high standards we achieve is a fabulous accolade for our school and is testament to the commitment and dedication of our staff, governors, pupils and parents.

Welcome to Clover Hill…

dsc03303I am delighted to welcome you to our school website.

At the heart of Clover Hill Primary School lies a learning community that embraces opportunity and allows every child to reach for the stars and shine. We are extremely proud of the achievements of our school and the enjoyment children have in taking part in the wide variety of school activities.

We hope that this website informs and involves parents about their child’s experiences at Clover Hill and demonstrates why everyone is so proud to be part of it.

This is an outstanding school. By the time pupils leave at the end of Year 6, they are mature and confident individuals who have reached high standards in their work…Pupils are exceptionally well involved in the work of the school and make especially good progress in acquiring the skills that will help them in their future life. Pupils thoroughly enjoy school and this is reflected in their very good attendance. Pupils feel very safe and understand how to keep healthy. Throughout the school, they show a love of learning and their behaviour is excellent.
The sentiments of many parents are expressed by one who wrote, ‘Clover Hill is exactly what you would hope for when your child is at school, encouraging, supportive, educational, safe and happy’.
