Year 5

Class Teacher: Mrs Holden
Welcome to Year 5 and the first year of Upper Key Stage 2. I hope your child will enjoy the fun I have in store for them as well as the challenges that they will be given.I have been teaching at Clover Hill since 2001 and taught many of the year groups in both KS1 and KS2 however my heart lies most definitely with UKS2. A special moment for me was when I became Deputy Head in 2016. My own children came to Clover Hill and as a parent I could not have asked for a better primary education for them.

I am excited about teaching this fabulous year group and, most importantly, getting to know and guide the children through this exciting and challenging chapter of their education, preparing them for Year 6

My aim is to make Year 5 a wonderful, challenging and exciting time for our children.   Throughout the course of the year, the children will step back into time to the 1940s to become more familiar with life in Britain during World War II, become master bakers through their DT bread project and find their adventurous side when we go on our Summer residential.

If you have any questions or concerns about your child or their education, please do not hesitate to contact me or a member of the Upper Key Stage 2 team.
