It was lovely to be back together and wish each other a happy new year this week. Year 2 have quickly settled back into their routine. In maths we have started a unit on money and we have been counting coins and notes and making amounts of money in different ways. In English we started reading a new story called How Rabbit Stole Fire. We have done lots of comprehension work on this story and next week we are going to write our own version of the story. We welcomed a new teaching student Mrs Stolting-Ayoub to Year 2 and a gymnastics coach called Millie, both will be with us for the remainder of this half term.
