We found out about the Lunar New Year this week.  We listened to the story of the "Great Race" and found out why each new year is named after an animal.  We talked about the years that we were born in and which animals represented these years, we talked about 2025 being the year of the snake.  We found out about how families prepare for and celebrate the new year.  We talked about the gifts that are given and the clothes that are worn at new year to bring good luck in the year ahead  Mrs Scott also made us a delicious lunch!
