What a fantastic start to the year we have had! All pupils have settled in extremely well and are taking to Year 4 like ducks to water.Â
It's amazing how much work we get through in such a short amount of time! We are already onto our third topic in Mathematics, have completed a piece of descriptive writing around the book 'After the Fall' by Dan Surat and wrote a Biography about Jack Prelutsky.
In Science, we have learned all about the digestive system, the functions of our teeth and investigated/created food chains. We have been learning all about the Romans in History and Christianity in RE. In PSCHE, we have been fortunate enough to have RISE coming into class to complete weekly sessions to support us during stressful and anxious times and in PE we have begun swimming lessons and been learning difficult balances to improve our core strength. Finally, we have been creating our own moscaics in Art and have just begun a self-portrait topic.Â
We have loved celebrating Halloween in school at our KS2 disco but are looking forward to a week off to recouperate and to get ready for Christmas.
Best wishes,
Mrs Hunter
