Winter Runderland

This December, in KS2 we are thinking about how to keep ourselves active. Did you know that all children should do 60 minutes physical activity per day?

We have signed up to Gateshead School Sports Partnership's Winter RUNderland, to track our active minues against other schools in the area. For each minute of activity each class does, they earn 1 carrot to fuel Rudolf to help Santa's Sleigh fly around the world. Our aim is to collect a minumum  of 300 carrots by the end of DECEMBER.

Totals for Week 1:

Year 3: 272 minutes

Year 4:225 minutes

Year 5: 180minutes

Year 6: 250 minutes

Some of the ways we are keeping active:

  • Twice weekley PE lessons
  • Acive Lunch times
  • Active breaks in class
  • Daily Mile
