Hello and welcome to Clover Hill. We are delighted that your child has been offered a place at our school. We hope that this is the start of a close working partnership with your child and your family.
Mrs Gamble - our Reception class teacher - will be in touch as soon as we have received all of your contact information from Gateshead Council (within the next couple weeks).
However - in the meantime - we would like to share with you some key dates regarding your child's induction to Clover Hill.
INDUCTION
Tuesday 3rd June - 6pm. Parent information evening. Everything you need to know about your child starting Clover Hill including uniform, wrap around care and school meals (adults only please).
Thursday 5th/Wednesday 11th/Friday 13th June - Home visits. These will be arranged before the Parent Induction evening. 1 visit per child usually lasting around 30 minutes. This provides an opportunity to have a private conversation with Mrs Gamble regarding your child and for them to meet their teacher within the security of their own home.
Monday 16th June - 9.30-11.30am. Half of the new reception children to visit and play in Clover Hill reception class. Parents do not stay.
Tuesday 17th June - 9.30-11.30am. The other half of the new reception children to visit and play in Clover Hill reception class. Parents do not stay.
Tuesday 24th June - 9.30-11.30am. New reception class in altogether. Parents do not stay.
September 2024.
School starts on Tuesday 2nd Sepetmber as we have an INSET day (staff training) planned for Monday 1st September.
For the first week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) half of the class will attend mornings and half will attend afternoons. Friday of the first week will see all children in school until 1230 - this includes their school lunch.
The children will be in school full-time from Monday 8th September.
Please be reassured that we will be in touch very soon with more detailed information.
